Check to be sure the antenna is attached and if it is not hanging down from the unit move the antenna so it can catch the beambeing sent by the remote. If the door opens with the wall switch a simple battery change in the remote should do the trick. If the remote works from inside the garage but not from the outside then most likely the antenna wireon the garage door opener itself may be damaged broken or not in visible range. When your garage door won t open with the remote there are few things that can cause this problem.

Press the button as you observe a small blinking red light on the box where the chain enters and exits. Then within 30 seconds hold the button on your remote for three seconds or until garage door opener s lights flash or the led light on your opener blinks. Try resetting the remote. If the door opens when you press the button on the wall mounted control keypad but not when you use the remote you might have just pinpointed the source of the problem.

The antenna on the motor could be damaged or blocked from the signal. Make sure it is hanging down from the motor. You might be out of range.
