My Vinyl Will Not Release From The Transfer Tape

My vinyl will not release from the transfer tape.

Attach a small area of transfer tape to your design. Sometimes for reasons unknown the vinyl does not want to lift up with the transfer paper. Not even after using another tip of placing the piece of transfer tape on to a microfibre or other cloth sticky side down a few times to try to make it less. Some days this transfer tape works great with zero complaints.

Other times it will not pick up the vinyl without burnishing as you peel back then it will not release onto my project. I had to be careful not to remove the carpet from the floor with the super strength adhesive on the transfer tape. This video will show a tip on how to get. You create a decal but when you go to pick it up with the transfer tape the vinyl refuses to release from the backing paper.

Ideally the bond between the tape and vinyl should be stronger than that between the vinyl and the kraft paper release liner. You create a decal but only some of the letters stick onto the transfer tape while the rest are left behind on the backing paper. I personally find clear plastic transfer tapes to be the easiest to work with. Oracal 641and 651 are stiffer films that require higher tack tapes to get them off the liner.

Many of my vinyl decals are made up of individual. Transfer tape or stronggrip transfer tape see table above to choose the right one for your vinyl type scraper or other burnishing tool. If not the tape won t pull the vinyl off the liner. Having problems getting the transfer tape to pick up all the letters in your decal.

This can either be the center or one end of your design. Your vinyl is not sticking to your transfer tape. I do not recommend using a strong grip or strong tack transfer tape with regular vinyl as you will have a difficult time getting the decal to release from the transfer material. It has not released my vinyl cutouts as yet.
