Passenger Door Window Switch Not Working

Open door drops down doesn t go back up on close lower top drops but doesn t go back up. Auto up from passenger door does not work auto up from drivers side for the passenger side does not work to me implies it s not the passenger side switch. When passenger windows don t work but the driver s window does chances are high that you ve got a bad master switch in the driver s door or a broken wire in the driver s door hinge area. Normally a bad relay or blown fuse is the cause of this problem.

It means that the passenger side window switch has failed. Hi there this issue generally comes up often when we see a power window that does not work on the passenger switch but still works with the driver s master switch. It is acting as if it is locked out from the driver side door module because the led s are not illuminated however it is not locked out. The drivers master switch may also be the cause.

Usually i replace the whole thing when this happens. But the passenger side failing first is unusual. If all of the windows quit working at once meaning there is no response when you push the power window switch chances are there is a loss of power in the electrical system. I ve also done continuity testing of both the ddm and passenger side door module.

Otherwise the passenger window will go up and down smooth just no auto up. Any movement at all even a wiggle one of the things which needs to be determined is whether it is the electrical connection to the switch the window regulator motor gone bad or is it the complete window regulator having failed.
