After hearing that i seriously considered just gluing a piece of plywood over it and calling it a day. It provides much better adhesion and curing of the patch. A typical concrete patch compound that you can use for interior purposes. If you have a wet dry vacuum this is a great place to use it. For large walls or small spots you will find the right size for your needs. Patch smaller cracks or holes with concrete.

As the concrete dries use either brooms or brushes to duplicate the pattern on the original wall.
